Course Description

The CyArk Virtual Training Course on Photogrammetry Processing and Modeling is an intensive two-week program designed to teach participants how to create high-quality 3D models from photogrammetric data. In the first week, the course covers pre-processing and initial processing techniques, such as image alignment, component creation, and basic troubleshooting. Participants will also learn about sensor fusion, the CyArk workflow, and gaining expertise in RealityCapture software. By the end of this week, they will be proficient in merging raw data and aligning images.

The second week focuses on transforming aligned images into polished 3D models. Participants will master 3D mesh generation, optimization, and editing, resulting in accurate and visually appealing models. Advanced texturing and UV unwrapping techniques will be taught to enhance model realism, allowing participants to control resolution, file size, and overall appearance of their models. To effectively share and showcase their work, participants will learn how to utilize Sketchfab. The course concludes with finalizing models in RealityCapture and exploring practical applications through real-world case studies integrated throughout both weeks.

Through this comprehensive training, participants will acquire a robust skill set encompassing data processing, 3D model creation, refinement, and presentation. They will be equipped to produce a range of outputs, including orthographic images, animations, overlays, and contour maps. Ideal for professionals and enthusiasts in cultural heritage preservation, archaeology, and related fields, this course empowers individuals to elevate their 3D data processing and modeling capabilities.
